Circular Economy Competences : Making the Case for Lifelong Learning - 19 February, Brussels

ACR+, the Association of Cities and Regions for Sustainable Resource Management, is organizing the “Circular Economy Competences Making the Case for Lifelong Learning” event, which will take place on 19 February 2019 at the European Parliament in Brussels, co-hosted by MEPs Silvia Costa and Simona Bonafè.

Circular Economy competences are not only now essential in careers, constituting an important capacity with regards to the needs of the current job market. Circular Economy learning is, therefore, essential at all levels of education systems. Based on these premises, the event aims to foster European cooperation by linking practices to educational and training systems. Experts and practitioners, training providers, NGOs, as well as academic entities will seize the opportunity this event represents to exchange knowledge and good practices on three related issues: the Circular Economy/Circular Thinking in education; the waste repair and reuse industry and its related upskilling; and the Circular Economy job market and its associated core and enabling skills, to be addressed during the event by three different panels.

This event is held within the framework of the Erasmus + CYCLE project, co-funded by the European Commission. The draft agenda is available here.
